Meet the Team
Together with the incredible 100+ guest teachers who teach within our courses, we're the core team of co-weavers who have the joy of bringing this into being.
We are visionaries, musicians, artists & ritualists dedicated to serving the earth in these potent times and tending the threads of Weaving Remembrance.
Hanna Leigh Van Tatenhove
Founderess
Hi! My name is Hanna Leigh, (IG: @hannaleighsong) originally from California (Chumash territory). I make my home on the ancestral lands of the Kānaka Maoli in Maui, Hawaii, and in recent years I have spent extensive time residing near ancestral lands in the south of England. My people migrated to the U.S. several generations ago from England, Scotland, Norway, Germany and the Netherlands.
My own ancestral healing path guided me to create this budding organization called “Weaving Remembrance“, which hosts the online workshop series “Songs of Mother Europe” and other unfolding offerings designed to support the remembrance of earth & ancestral wisdom. My music can be found on Spotify and Bandcamp.
Lana Lanaia
COURSE CO-CREATOR
I live in the Scottish Highlands, and my lineage is woven through many lands.
I am musician, and facilitator of retreats, ritual & healing spaces. I have been studying and working with earth wisdom traditions & sound healing for over 25 years.
I have a deep love for these holy Isles of Albion, her ancient places & wisdom. I have spent many years journeying to sacred sites, living in wild places, questing and communing with the land, sea & sky.
I am passionate about re-awakening the ancient, living wisdom within our hearts and lands; weaving remembrance that we are all children of the Earth.
Katie Corning
WEB CULTIVATOR
My lineage comes from volcano, salt & sea. I am a direct descendant of the ancient magic of caves, valleys, and the spaces where memory becomes bone.
I was raised among creosote, ocotillo, & saguaro and now make a home by the Salish Sea, where cedar, lichen, and salmon guide and nourish me.
As one frequently guided to the holding and tending of the edge, I work where modern and ancestral worlds bridge in my role of weaving the digital ecosystem of Weaving Remembrance.

Maya McNeil
COURSE CO-WEAVER
Hello, my name is Maya Johanna McNeil (they/her) I am a queer Scottish-American singer, songwriter, poet, healing arts practitioner, and filmmaker born in Huichin/Oakland, California.
I was raised by rose people and the children of immigrant gardeners. I have been tended by plants all of my life, and cherish their patience with me as I continually learn from them and their stewards of many nations.
I endeavor for the healing of my family of all relations, and the bridgework I believe in: Reweaving cultural connection to animate landscapes, actively grieving diasporic, colonizing/colonized traumas, and freeing the imagination, so we may repair and honor the future ahead, the ancestry behind us, and the time that is now.
