LUNAR SAMHAIN WORKSHOP
Samhain:
The Alchemy of Winter
Explore Samhain as an alchemical and creative process to prepare for the dark moons ahead
Sunday, 8th November
10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT
2 Hours
"In Alchemy, winter comes first. It is the beginning, the origin."
– KIM KRANS
This class will explore Samhain as an alchemical and creative process.
With the old goddess, the Cailleach, as our guide, we will prepare ourselves to incubate new potentials for our lives as the dark months arrive.
The Celtic New Year
The season of Samhain is an alchemical starting point.
From the blackening (nigredo) of Samhain, to the whitening (albedo) of Imbolc, the yellowing (citrinitas) of Bealtaine, and the reddening (rubedo) of Lughnasa, each Celtic season offers its own distinct wisdom.
Yet, the alchemical wheel of transformation cannot turn without the prima materia of Samhain, without winter’s retreat inward to uncover the parts of ourselves that long to be worked into gold.

COURSE CO-WEAVER
Lana Lanaia
Lana is a singer/sound weaver and facilitator of retreats, ritual & healing spaces. Born in England and now living in the Scottish Highlands, she has been drawn since childhood to the ancient and indigenous cultures of the world, including the old ways of her homeland. Her path has led her to learn from indigenous traditions of North and South America, as well as ceremonial and animistic ways of our Isles.
For almost 30 years she has journeyed to sacred sites and lived in wild places, learning to listen to the land, sea, and sky. She lived off-grid in the Highlands for nine years, growing food and in close relationship with the land. These direct and living experiences are woven into the essence of her music and work.
Lana is the founder of Temple of Ioua (formerly Aluna Healing). Through journeys, ritual, and sound, she creates spaces that invite us into the heart ~ to reawaken the songlines of the soul and return to ways of living in harmony with our beloved earth.
